Aly & Fila are a DJ and production duo who’ve been blasting hedonistic trance music on the global dance floor since the late ‘90s, while also expanding the clubbing landscape in their homeland of Egypt with massive branded events and international collaborations. Aly El Sayed Amr Fathalah and Fadi Wassef Naguib were born in 1981, meeting in kindergarten and cultivating a friendship that has endured for decades. They began performing together in 1999 and released their debut single, “Eye of Horus,” in 2003, which went on to receive international play from DJ/producer juggernauts like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and Tiësto. Those EDM trailblazers started performing at massive events hosted by Aly & Fila at the Pyramids of Giza and Karnak Temple in Luxor, revitalizing Egypt's vibrant nightclub scene. In 2006, they launched acclaimed radio show Future Sound of Egypt, as well as their own label of the same name three years later, sharing and promoting fresh electronic music with regular two-hour mixes. In 2010, the pair released their shimmering debut album, Rising Sun, which crystallized their thumping love of trance and techno excess, perfected further on 2013's booming Quiet Storm, and flipped upside down on 2015's ethereal The Chill Out.
