NOLA-born, Atlanta-based rapper and reality star Shantel Allen (AKA Tokyo Vanity) is known for her vibrant persona, bouncy production style, and inventive wordplay, as heard on her viral 2015 hit "That's My Best Friend." She rose to national fame in 2018 after joining the cast of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. During this time, Allen continued to vlog and release new music, issuing the star-studded B.A.P.S. with Tasha Catour, as well singles like 2020's "Big Mad Freestyle," 2021's "F*ck N*gga Free," and 2023's "Dreamin" with Bobby Jean. Allen kicked off 2024 with an EP of alternate versions of her signature hit, That's My Best Friend."
