The Green is a quintet from Oahu, Hawaii, known for their mix of dub-heavy roots reggae, modern pop sounds, and traditional island influences.
∙ Their 2010 self-titled debut spent 69 consecutive weeks on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart—a record at the time.
∙ The Green won the Artist of the Year honors at 2013’s Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards—Hawaii’s equivalent of the Grammys.
∙ In 2018, fellow Hawaii native Bruno Mars invited The Green to open his three sold-out homecoming shows at Oahu’s Aloha Stadium.
∙ They were named Group Of The Year at the 2019 Island Music Awards, an annual ceremony sponsored by local radio station Island 98.5.
