Artist Biography
Dominican singer Raulin Rodriguez began his career at age 15 as guitarist for the legendary Anthony Santos, and he has since become one of his country’s most influential bachateros.
∙ The romantic title track of 1994’s Medicina de Amor, one of his earliest hits, made Latina’s list of the 20 Best Bachata Songs Ever.
∙ Derroche de Amor, which peaked in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Tropical Albums chart, was nominated for Tropical Album of the Year at the 2003 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
∙ Thanks to “Esta Noche,” a Dominican chart-topper and crossover hit in the US, he won Bachatero of the Year and Bachata of the Year at 2014’s Premios Soberano awards.
∙ He appears on two of Romeo Santos’ biggest hits—“Debate de 4,” from his chart-topping 2011 debut, Fórmula, Vol. 1, and “La Demanda,” from 2019’s quintuple-Platinum Utopía.
