Bold British pop with a hint of jazz and a lot of sass.
About Pixie Lott
Artist Biography
With her brassy voice and knack for sonic playfulness, Pixie Lott is equal parts throwback vocalist and modern pop auteur. Born in 1991, the London-born artist first pursued acting—as a teenager, she appeared in a West End production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang—before embarking on a professional music career. Success came quickly: At age 18, she had two UK No. 1 singles—the strutting seduction “Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)” and the horn-peppered retro-soul number “Boys and Girls”—and a Top 10 debut album, Turn It Up. Lott turned to upbeat dance-pop for the 2011 chart-topper “All About Tonight” and has since dabbled in smoky jazz balladry (“Cry Me Out”), kicky soul numbers (“Stevie On the Radio”), and sassy electro-pop (“Baby”). And, in a nod to her roots as a teen performer, Lott has also served as a coach on The Voice Kids UK.
