About Pardison Fontaine
Artist Biography
Pardison Fontaine (aka Jordan Thorpe) first found fame as an underground MC and a songwriter before achieving his own chart success as a rapper.
∙ After winning a full athletic scholarship to Delaware’s Goldey-Beacom College, he decided to drop out freshman year and switch his focus from basketball to music.
∙ His debut mixtape, 2015’s Not Supposed to Be Here, featured the singles “Oyyy” and “Bobby Brown.”
∙ Fontaine won recognition for cowriting Cardi B’s 2017 breakthrough hit “Bodak Yellow,” as well as five tracks on Kanye West’s 2018 album Ye.
∙ Under8ed, his debut album from 2019, featured the single “Backin’ It Up (feat. Cardi B),” a No. 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
∙ Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage Remix (feat. Beyoncé)” from 2020 was cowritten by Fontaine.
