As the self-proclaimed “youngest trapper,” the energetic Washington, D.C., rapper MoneyMarr has his eyes on the prize.
• MoneyMarr started rapping at 15 after his friend convinced him to put his thoughts down on paper. His first SoundCloud offering was a freestyle over Lil Yachty’s “Minnesota.”
• His name derives from an early fixation with stacking cash.
• In 2018, he broke through with the ferocious single “Whip Out The Stick,” which appears on his debut mixtape, Youngest Trapper. The track earned him support from artists like Kevin Gates and A$AP Bari.
• MoneyMarr’s 2020 mixtape Exotic Habits features fellow DMV rappers Xanman, Black Fortune, and Baby Fifty.
