Mario Judah is an American singer-songwriter and rapper who got his big break when he went viral in 2020.
∙ A self-described teenage troublemaker, he was forced to go to military school, and after graduating at age 17, he immediately pivoted to making beats.
∙ Judah began writing songs intended for other artists in early 2020, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, he started releasing tunes himself, beginning with “Crush” in June.
∙ Posted in September 2020, the video for his second track, “Die Very Rough,” became an internet sensation, racking up almost 21 million views on one platform over five months.
∙ In December 2020, after taunting rapper Playboi Carti about his delayed sophomore album, Whole Lotta Red, Judah went viral again with his own version of Carti’s single “Bih Yah.”
