About Jonathan Nelson
Artist Biography
Jonathan Nelson is an award-winning singer and songwriter who has led a new generation of gospel artists since making his major label debut in 2008.
∙ Gospel legend Donald Lawrence rerecorded Nelson’s independently released single “Healed,” earning Nelson his first Stellar Award, for Song of the Year, in 2006.
∙ In 2008, Nelson received two Dove Award nominations: New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, for “My Name Is Victory.”
∙ Finish Strong, released in 2013, was his second LP to enter the Billboard 200 and his first to reach No. 1 on the Top Gospel Albums chart.
∙ Recorded alongside his former gospel group, Purpose, 2020’s The Reunion was a No. 10 hit on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart and featured the Top 25 single “Manifest.”
