Artist Biography
Formed in 2017, Kentucky two-piece GRLwood fuse punk, riot grrrl, and alt-rock.
∙ GRLwood’s surf punk-influenced 2018 single “Bisexual” generated a notable early buzz among music critics.
∙ The duo’s 2018 single “I’m Yer Dad” became a surprise underground hit, garnering more than 1.5 million streams.
∙ Music talk show Sound Opinions placed their sophomore album, I Sold My Soul to the Devil When I Was 12, on its Best Albums of 2019 list.
∙ In 2020, they released a video for “I’m Yer Dad,” featuring their in-film appearance as a party band in the indie-horror film Roommate Wanted.
