Artist Biography
Originally named Rainbow Butt Monkeys, Canadian alt-rock band Finger Eleven used the prize money from a radio contest to record their debut album, 1995’s Letters From Chutney.
∙ Finger Eleven’s 2003 self-titled album cracked the Billboard 200 and went Gold in the US.
∙ “One Thing,” their 2003 breakthrough single, not only reached No. 1 in Canada, but it also became a Top 40 hit on six different US charts.
∙ Them vs. You vs. Me, the band’s 2007 LP, won the Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year.
∙ Starting in 2002, professional wrestler Kane entered the ring to a remixed version of Finger Eleven’s song “Slow Chemical.”
∙ “Paralyzer” went double-Platinum in 2007, becoming the biggest single of the band’s career, while its video garnered more than 35 million views.
∙ Their music has been featured on three Marvel Universe movie soundtracks: The Punisher (“Slow Chemical”), Daredevil (“Sad Exchange”), and Elektra (“Thousand Mile Wish”).
