Born Efrén Aguilar Bernal, corrido singer El Tigrillo Palma took up singing at age six and dropped out of elementary school to pursue it professionally.
∙ At age 10, he recorded his first album with Los Vaqueritos de El Varal, a popular Mexican touring duo featuring his sister.
∙ His debut album, 2006’s Pistiando Con la Plebada, showcased his breakthrough regional Mexican hit, “Los Chiquinarcos.”
∙ By 2009, he was so popular that he had three albums on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart simultaneously, including the No. 2 hit Al Cien Por Millon.
