About Desire
Artist Biography
Desire produce dark, driving synth pop and electro-disco with a cinematic flair. Featuring plaintive, yearning vocals by Megan Louise and analog synthscapes by Chromatics/Italians Do It Better mastermind Johnny Jewel, the group released their debut album in 2009. They received a boost in popularity when their song, "Under Your Spell," made a memorable appearance in the 2011 film Drive and was included on its trendsetting soundtrack. The group sporadically released material during the 2010s, then became much more prolific the following decade, releasing the giallo-inspired second album Escape in 2022, in addition to covers of hits by New Order, Book of Love, and Kylie Minogue. They also released several collaborations with Detroit house producer Omar S, including 2024's "White Horses."
