About BANNERS
Artist Biography
For much of his youth, UK singer-songwriter BANNERS (Michael Joseph Nelson) was a member of the world-renowned Liverpool Cathedral Choir.
∙ Before music paid his bills, he sometimes worked as a film extra, taking direction from the likes of Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, and Brian Singer.
∙ His 2016 debut EP was produced and cowritten by Stephen Kozmeniuk, who’s also worked with Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Kenrick Lamar, and Dua Lipa.
∙ In 2016, BANNERS made his television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
∙ After his song “Someone to You” was used in commercials for American Idol, he appeared on the show in 2018, performing duets with two contestants.
