ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra) is an American rock group with improvisational tendencies and a laid-back California vibe. Emerging in the late 1990s, the outfit became a hit on the jam band circuit while enjoying a close association with superstar Jack Johnson, who appeared on the group's 2006 effort, Fly Between Falls. ALO continued cultivating a loyal following with energetic live performances and inventive, wide-ranging albums like Sounds Like This (2012), Tangle of Time (2015), and Silver Saturdays (2023). In 2025, the band issued Frames, a typically eclectic set that touched on everything from rock, pop, and R&B to folk, dance, and funk.
