About Vetusta Morla
Artist Biography
Vetusta Morla is one of Spain's most important indie rock bands to emerge in the 21st century. During its first decade, the group was consolidating its formation, competing in festivals, and recording demos. In 2008, they issued their debut, Un Día en el Mundo, winning critical acclaim and achieving unusually high sales for an independent debut. Vetusta Morla continued their unique career, alternating studio albums -- Mapas (2011) and La Deriva (2014) -- with projects of various kinds including the soundtrack for the video game Los Ríos de Alice. After releasing 2017's Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar, they embarked on extensive tours through Spain, Europe, Latin America, and North America. 2020's MSDL: Canciones Dentro de Canciones was a rework of Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar, and was followed by Cable a Tierra in 2021. The live audio/video document Bailando Hasta el Apagón appeared in 2022, followed by Figurantes in 2024.
