Vertical Worship—originally called the Vertical Church Band—is a contemporary Christian music group based out of Chicago’s Harvest Bible Chapel.
∙ Their 2012 debut, Live Worship from Vertical Church, was the group’s first of four consecutive releases to reach the Top 10 of Billboard’s Christian Albums chart.
∙ Church Songs made Worship Leader’s list of the best albums of 2015, and the magazine named the track “Spirit of the Living God” one of the year’s best songs.
∙ “Yes I Will,” the Gold-certified lead single from their 2018 album Bright Faith Bold Future, earned a Dove Award nomination for Worship Song of the Year.
∙ One of the group’s former worship leaders is Grammy-winning gospel singer and actress Heather Headley, who earned a Tony Award for her starring role in the Broadway debut of Aida.
