T.M.Revolution is the solo project of Takanori Nishikawa, a Japanese musician, producer, and singer-songwriter who formerly fronted the visual kei band Luis-Mary.
∙ His best-selling album, 1998’s triple joker, sold more than a million copies and included his first No. 1 single in Japan, “White Breath.”
∙ T.M.Revolution recorded several opening themes for the GUNDAM anime franchise, including 2002’s “Invoke” and the 2004 Japanese No. 1 single “Ignited.”
∙ In 2003, he was the first artist signed to Tofu Records, a label formed to raise the profile of Japanese musicians in North America.
∙ Nishikawa formed the rock band abingdon boys school, which provided themes for the anime series D.Gray-man, Soul Eater, and Darker Than Black.
∙ He was a Guest of Honor at the 2008 New York Comic Con, alongside sci-fi author Orson Scott Card and comic artist Grant Morrison, and made his NYC performance debut at the event.
