Artist Biography
Featuring members of Monster Magnet and Godspeed, the Atomic Bitchwax have been playing heavy riff-rock laden with '70s bong-smoke haze since the mid-1990s. Blue Cheer, Sabbath, Rush, and Hawkwind are easy touchstones for their sound, but the power trio--Chris Kosnick, Bob Pantella, and Finn Ryan--have forged their own pathway. Though initially a mostly instrumental group, they have continued to evolve, including more pop-oriented song structures and harmonized dual vocals, all part of the band’s “boxriff technique.”
