Artist Biography
R&B singer Sisqó will forever be known for his 2000 hit “Thong Song,” a showcase for the impassioned vocals and flashy style that made him a superstar in the late ’90s and early ’00s.
• The Baltimore native got his start entertaining customers while working at a local fudge shop alongside Larry "Jazz" Anthony, James "Woody" Green, and Tamir "Nokio" Ruffin. The four formed an R&B group called Dru Hill.
• Dru Hill hit it big in the ’90s—their 1998 sophomore album, Enter the Dru, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
• Sisqó’s 1999 solo debut, Unleash the Dragon, included the unforgettable “Thong Song,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Incomplete,” which reached No. 1.
• He launched his acting career at the turn of the millennium, starring in a 2001 episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the 2002 film Snow Dogs.
• Following his solo success, Sisqó reunited with Dru Hill for 2002’s Dru World Order and 2010’s InDRUpendence Day.
• In 2016, Sisqó collaborated with Marie Osmond on her track “Give Me a Good Song.”
