About Nick Moss Band
Artist Biography
Nick Moss kept the sound of classic Chicago blues alive in the 21st century. He worked his way up through the ranks, playing bass with Buddy Scott & the Legendary Blues Band and making his name as a guitarist for the Jimmy Rogers Band. By the end of the 2000s, he was fronting the Nick Moss Band, racking up accolades and acclaim that only gained strength when the group teamed with harpist Dennis Gruenling for a series of albums in the late 2010s. The first of these, 2018's The High Cost of Low Living, helped Moss earn the award of Traditional Blues Male Artist of the Year from the Blues Music Awards in 2019, an indication that he was indeed keeping the flame of Chicago blues burning, and 2023's Get Your Back into It! was a similarly swinging set of raucous blues workouts.
