About Jekalyn Carr
Artist Biography
Gospel singer Jekalyn Carr found her calling early, joining her church choir at age five and becoming an in-demand motivational speaker before she entered her teens.
∙ By age 15, she shifted her primary focus to singing and released her 2013 album, Greater Is Coming, which shot to No. 3 on Billboard’s Gospel chart.
∙ Spotting her talent early on, Jet magazine named Carr one of the Top Ten Faces You Need to Know, and in 2014 Ebony included her on its annual Power 100 list.
∙ Despite her young age, she’s already hit No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel charts eight times.
∙ In 2017, she released the empowering single “You Will Win,” following it up a few months later with a motivational book by the same title.
∙ Carr has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, including a Best Gospel Album nod for 2018’s One Nation Under God.
