About Dovid Pearlman
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I'll never forget my earliest musical memory- 3 year old me running around the house singing Uncle Moishy songs on the top of my lungs. Music has been a staple in my life since before I could talk, and it wasn't long before I performed on my own.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Baruch Levine, Touched By a Niggun Freilach Band, Mordechai Shapiro, Sing It The Miami Boys Choir, Yerachmiel Begun, Chanukah - Light Up the Nights Light Up the Nights brings me back to my childhood, listening to my late uncle’s solos, an inspiring figure to me. Touched By a Niggun connects me to Baruch, one of my biggest role models, and Sing It I believe completely changed the wedding scene.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Achshav” Achshav was really a turning point in my career, propelling me as a more well known artist. The song really took off thanks to a viral dance that got its start in a seminary called Me'ohr, which ended up making its way throughout schools and camps.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing on tour in the U.K. last year was a truly memorable moment. Until then, I didn't fully appreciate that people outside of my community had grown up to know my music, but here I was- across the globe, hearing crowds sing my songs. Amazing.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I certainly do aspire to continue growing my career to positively impact as many people around the world as possible! To be able to headline the annual Camp HASC concert, as well as the United Hatzalah concert in Israel would be a dream come true.
