Rapper and singer ANTH amassed a following by posting cover songs alongside future UK star Conor Maynard. He’s since built a sturdy independent career that’s yielded many streaming hits.
• In 2009, Virginia native Anthony “ANTH” Melo began posting covers of pop songs recorded with his English friend Conor Maynard. Attention from these songs led both to release original music. Maynard topped the UK charts with his 2012 debut album, Contrast
• By the late 2010s, ANTH had scored streaming hits with original compositions like the piano ballad “Too Much to Drink” and the 2018 rap track “Hello.”
• ANTH produces much of his own music and has self-released his singles and EPs. He also continues to post covers of songs by artists like Pop Smoke, 24kGoldn, and Doja Cat.
