Artist Biography
Amateur emerged from the ashes of La Buena Vida, an indie pop group from the Basque country that called it quits in 2011 after one of its members died in a car accident. Eight years later, three of the remaining members -- Mikel Aguirre, José Luis Lanzagorta, and Iñaki de Lucas -- decided to rejoin forces under a new name: Amateur. Their first album, titled Debut! and released by Sony in September 2017, presented a logical continuation of La Buena Vida's style of pop. ~ Mariano Prunes
