Baile funk superstar Kevinho started making music as a teenager and saw his career take off after linking up with the Brazilian music video and management powerhouse KondZilla.
∙ The video for his breezy 2016 single “Olha a Explosão”—which was the most-streamed song during Brazil’s annual carnival holiday in 2017—has garnered more than 1 billion views.
∙ Kevinho has collaborated with other Brazilian artists, including sertanejo duo Matheus & Kauan, producer Dennis DJ, singer-songwriter Léo Santana, and vocalist Naiara Azevedo.
∙ His laidback 2018 collaboration with Brazilian star Gusttavo Lima, “Salvou Meu Dia,” peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.
∙ “Terremoto,” a slinky duet with Brazilian singer Anitta, spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on Brazil’s National Pop chart in 2019.
