French singer-songwriter Zaz—aka Isabelle Geffroy—has filtered classic jazz and cabaret styles through modern production touches to become an international pop star.
∙ Thanks to the hits “Je veux” and “Le long de la route,” her 2010 self-titled debut topped the charts in France, Belgium, and Poland.
∙ Zaz contributed vocals to the track “Cœur Volant” on the Grammy-winning soundtrack to the 2011 film Hugo.
∙ She was nominated for seven honors at the 2014 World Music Awards, including World’s Best Female Artist, World’s Best Live Act, and World’s Best Album (Recto Verso).
