In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I distinctly remember experiencing the 70's theme from Dr Who for the first time when I was 5 or 6 years old. I had no point of reference for what I was hearing and was intrigued by how this music was made. Both scary and amazing in equal amounts.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jean-Michel Jarre, Oxygène Michael Brook, Hybrid Stars of the Lid, The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid These albums are all standouts in the genre and time. My exposure to each of them opened up my understanding of what music could achieve.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “6:15 Am – Morning Star” This song was a complete departure for me stylistically and I had several goes at writing before achieving this version. This set the tone for the entire album and informs my ongoing writing.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? DJing at Heaven nightclub in London in early 90’s. Having a regular slot at the "Megatripolis Sunday Thing" events allowed my to share my taste in electronic music and to be more adventurous with song selection and mixing.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to have my music used in connection with TV or film as I am and continue to be inspired by the moving image and have always felt this is probably where it would be most effective.
