Hailing from Hackney Wick, London, British alternative quartet Zola Blood blend organic indie rock with intricate and atmospheric electronics. Formed in 2014 from the remnants of former bands, Zola Blood quickly got to work writing and recording ideas and put out their debut EP, Meridian, in 2014. Soon afterward they began to perform around London, earning a reputation for their hazy and ethereal sound, with many comparing them to acts such as Radiohead, Jon Hopkins, and Nils Frahm. They went on to sign with London-based independent label Pond Life Songs in 2015 and delivered the single "Play Out" the same year. They spent 2016 writing the material for their debut full-length effort. Titled Infinite Games after a book by religious scholar James P. Carse, the record arrived in 2017. ~ Rob Wacey
