Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up participating in a church choir, which had a big influence on my music career. My dad introduced me to many great artists, including Brenda Fassie, Oliver Mtukudzi, and Cher. Growing up, I was always known as this girl with a big voice
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brenda Fassie, Nomakanjani Busi Mhlongo, Urbanzulu Jill Scott, Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds, Vol. 1 These albums have inspired my writing and performance style. Being relatable and relevant is something I pride myself in, which these albums do.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Zazi” This song launched my career. The song speaks strongly about self-worth and holding yourself in high regard.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I performed at the South African Music Awards.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still want to perform outside of South Africa and do more collaborations.
