About The Juans
Initially formed as a boyband, The Juans got their name from the Filipino everyman âJuan dela Cruzâ. The pop and R&B quintet certainly have the chops for smooth and soothing vocals that donât shy away from high-note runs, but theyâre not garden variety as far as their instrumentation skills. Of particular note is Carl Guevarraâs work on the keyboards providing the heft of the atmosphere and grace that elevates their forays into soul, shades of gospel and â80s pop territory to another level. Their singles have become bona fide hits and often appear on movie soundtracks, such as âHindi Tayo Pwedeâ.
