In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of our earliest memories is cramming into a freshman dorm room, passing around guitars and seeing what stuck. It didn’t take long before the late-night jam sessions turned into something real we all wanted to build on. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Cage the Elephant, Tell Me I'm Pretty
The Backseat Lovers, Waiting to Spill
Vampire Weekend, Contra (Bonus Track Version)
While the sounds range from dark and edgy to mellow folk to world ska pop, the common thread across these three inspirations is their mature follow-up to their previous breakout albums. We take inspiration from their originality and self-awareness. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Savannah”
“Savannah” captures the feeling of late-night drives and chasing something just out of reach. It was one of the first songs where our sound really clicked, and every time we play it, it reminds us why we started making music together. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Playing ACL in 2024 was surreal—we were the first current UT students to ever perform there. Stepping on that stage and seeing the crowd show up for us was a moment we’ll never forget. It felt like everything clicked. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
We’ve got a lot left on the bucket list—and we’re checking them off one by one. A full U.S. tour, releasing our debut album on vinyl, maybe even opening for one of the artists who inspired us early on. We’re just getting started.
