Wata Igarashi is highly praised throughout the techno world for his precisely crafted yet deeply psychedelic tracks, as well as his immersive DJ sets and live performances. Throughout the 2010s, the Tokyo-born producer and sound designer earned acclaim for his club performances, podcasts, and a growing discography of EPs that resembled a more atmospheric take on minimal techno and acid, including 2018's Question and Answer. For his full-length debut, 2023's Agartha, Igarashi explored a less club-centric sound inspired by Berlin School electronics and '90s ambient techno.
