While barely old enough to drink, rapper V.I.C. became a temporary staple in the rotation of nightclub DJs thanks to playful 2008 singles like the gold-certified “Get Silly” and bubbly “Wobble.”
• Born in Queens, V.I.C. moved with his family to suburban Atlanta when he was 10. He began pursuing music after high school, working as a barber to make ends meet.
• He landed a deal with Young Mogul Entertainment after passing his demos to Michael “Mr. Collipark” Crooms, CEO of Collipark Music, who frequented another barber shop nearby.
• His 2008 debut album, Beast, cracked the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart. It features the minor hits “Get Silly” and “Wobble.”
• V.I.C. enlisted hip-hop heavyweights E-40, Jermaine Dupri, Bun B, Polow Da Don, Unk, and Soulja Boy to throttle the “Get Silly (Mr. Collipark Remix).”
• In 2013, V.I.C. announced that he was at work on his sophomore album, Revenge of the Beast, but as of 2020, it had yet to surface.
