Vermont is an occasional ambient techno side project for producers Danilo Plessow and Marcus Worgull. The duo's sedate and melodic recordings together have deviated from their more dancefloor-oriented solo outlets, which include Plessow's work as Motor City Drum Ensemble and Worgull's releases for the Innervisions label. Vermont (2014) and II (2017), both of which were released on the Kompakt label, were the result of casual recording sessions that involved the use of several analog synthesizers, such as the ARP Odyssey and Moog Prodigy. An inspiration evident on both albums is the spacier, more electronic end of late-'70s and early-'80s Krautrock. ~ Andy Kellman
