Along with fellow youthful MCs Juvenile, Lil Wayne, and B.G., New Orleans rapper Turk formed one-fourth of the late-1990s’ platinum-selling Hot Boys. In 2001, Turk released his solo debut, YOUNG AND THUGGIN’, on the Hot Boys’ Cash Money imprint, which was followed up by 2003’s RAW AND UNCUT on his new label, Koch. Shortly before the release of 2004’s PENITENTIARY CHANCES however, Turk was caught in a police drug raid, then accused and subsequently convicted of attempted murder against an officer who allegedly found him hiding in the closet with a gun. Turk would subsequently release two LPs while behind bars.
Turk has also released music as a member of Cash Money Millionaires and Hot Boys.
