Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Laying in a field under the stars with my family listening to the Philadelphia Orchestra play 1812 Overture live (cannons included).
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Barry, Goldfinger (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Expanded Edition The Avalanches, Since I Left You Thelonious Monk, Solo Monk A combination of grandiosity, melody, dream-like atmosphere, and pure simplicity. All of these albums mean so much to me from various points in my life.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Serenity” Written starting at 6 years old, this is my first documented piece. The main melody comes from doodling on the piano during lesson breaks. I wrote the additional melody at 12. Directly from the old family piano.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've met with Herbert Baumel, a violinist and collaborator who has worked with Stravinsky and Rachmaninoff, both heroes of mine. So much history in talking with him. I'm hoping to represent the best of what I can write like they did.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm lucky to have had some success - I can't wait to work with larger orchestral ensembles, write for bigger films, and bring live shows to you.
