About Tommee Profitt
Artist Biography
Able to condense all the sweep and drama of a Hollywood epic into a few minutes of music, Tommee Profitt crafts songs that feel custom-made for the biggest of big screens. The Nashville-based writer, producer, and musician—who was born in Grand Rapids, MI, in 1984—initially developed his large-scale sensibility through his long creative partnership with rapper and singer NF, including the Christian music star's 2015 debut, Mansion. Profitt's success with NF led to collaborations with TobyMac, Hunter Hayes, and Josh Groban, among many others. It also led to Cinematic Songs, a multivolume collection of music composed for film, television, games, and any other medium that benefits from Profitt's grandly orchestral and emotionally stirring enhancements. On 2020's The Birth of a King, Profitt imbues familiar Christmas music with gravity and power. He does the same in his startling reimaginings of LINKIN PARK's "In the End" and Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars," two of his many showcases for the soaring vocals of Nashville singer Fleurie.
