In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being 12 years old downloading instrumentals from hipstrumrntals.com and uploading them to Audacity to record my first few songs. About a year later I found myself making and recording music with two friends in our dorm in boarding school
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Cruel Santino, Suzie's Funeral Drake, Take Care (Deluxe Version) PARTYNEXTDOOR, PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO These albums really shaped my sound and how I approach songwriting in general. I remember listening to them and feeling so inspired to continue following my passion. PND inspired me to start producing my own beats and mixing my own songs.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Right One (feat. Kira)” I was in college and at the time I had just started taking my production seriously. This was one of the very first songs I remember enjoying the full process of making it. I also got this amazing singer to help me bring it to life.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Dropping my first album, ASTRA:Femmina. I was 19, in school, and I lost a lot of sleep staying up to song write, record, and mix. This album is full of my romantic experiences during that period of my life, it felt so good dropping it.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would like to work with on of my inspirations (Drake, PND, Santi or Odunsi) someday. Still keeping my fingers crossed!
