About To Rococo Rot
Formed in 1995, German electronica trio To Rococo Rot includes Stefan Schneider and brothers Ronald and Robert Lippok. The band uses a traditional guitar/bass/drums set-up in addition to electronic gadgetry to create a cerebral, glitch-heavy sound that, though minimal in the extreme, places considerable importance on precision and technique. Though the band is often saddled with the post-rock tag (in fact, Schneider himself is a member of the post-rock band Kriedler), To Rococo Rot's sparse sonics have far more in common with the IDM and minimalist techno movements.
To Rococo Rot has also released music as a member of Whitetree.
