In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My sister’s took me to a Coldplay concert when I was in 5th or 6th grade… peak Viva La Vida years. That moment is special to look back on because they deeply influenced the music I listened to growing up and I’ll never forget that night.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Coldplay, Mylo Xyloto John Mark McMillan, Live at the Knight (Deluxe) Switchfoot, Vice Verses I remember going to the Christian bookstore (yep it’s a thing) to get Vice Verses… like it was yesterday. Listening to Mylo was a holy moment. JMM Live at the Knight was the show I missed and listening to it heals my heart.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bluebird (feat. Hollins Cuttino)” It’s my first… does creation know of it’s creator? Do birds know of their beauty? Do you know of yours? I love the questions it asks. I love how the song stretched me. I believe it’ll bless those who hear. I’m thrilled to have my art in the world.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at the Evening Muse with Brendan Abernathy as his opener. It was our 5th show together. I got to do it alongside my brother Josh, who pushed me to do my first live event. It was a holy moment :)
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Headlining a show, recording an album, opening for John Mark McMillan, Jon Foreman or any of my other foundational artist inspos :) and just making more music with my friends.
