Swedish metalcore quartet Thrown unleash a brutal, blistering, dissonant racket, part melodic hardcore, part nu-metal revivalism, that is filled with anguish and rage. Formed in Stockholm in 2021, they gained an immediate and devoted following in the underground scene with their debut single "New Low" in 2022. Later that year the band signed to Nuclear Blast offshoot Arising Empire, which released their debut EP Extended Pain. By the time the EP was two years old, its tracks had racked up over 50 million streams. The band spent much of 2022 and 2023 touring North America, Europe, and Australia. Their debut full-length album, Excessive Guilt, followed in 2024 and introduced subtle electronic elements.
