Garage rock supergroup the Surfing Magazines combine elements of surf-rock, jazz, weird pop, and Americana to create a unique alternative to generic U.K. indie. The full lineup features two members of Wave Pictures (David Tattersall and Franic Rozycki), Slow Club's Charles Watson, and drummer Dominic Brider. The band signed with Moshi Moshi in 2017, something of a foregone conclusion seeing as both Wave Pictures and Slow Club are closely associated with the label. In September of the same year, the Surfing Magazines released their eponymous debut album. ~ Liam Martin
