Playing a stylish mix of garage rock, indie punk, and psychedelia with a side portion of ominous keyboards for seasoning, the Paranoyds rose from the Los Angeles D.I.Y. community to their status as one of the leading acts on the West Coast indie music scene. The band sounded strong but scrappy on their 2016 debut EP, After You. By the time they brought out their first full-length album, Carnage Bargain, in 2019, they'd grown tighter and more melodic without sapping the energy or stylistic balance of their early work. Their evolution continued with 2022's Talk Talk Talk, their first release for the Third Man label.
