Artist Biography
Formed in Liverpool in 2016, this angst-ridden, grunge-inspired indie quartet are fronted by vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter Lia Metcalfe. Two early EPs -- 2019's Take Control and 2020's Love's Not Enough -- were produced with the help of the Coral's James Skelly. The title track of the latter EP ultimately had over two million streams. Universal Music took notice and duly signed them, releasing their debut LP, Reeling, which entered the U.K. Top Ten in 2022. A period of heavy touring followed, including shows with Arctic Monkeys, after which the Mysterines recorded their sophomore set in Los Angeles. Afraid of Tomorrows saw release in June 2024.
