About The Hitch-Hikers

From the small town of Platteville in southwestern Wisconsin, the Hitchikers released an obscure, competent (if derivative) 1967 folk-rock single on the small Cuca label. One side was a cover of the Byrds' "Feel a Whole Lot Better," and the B-side was an interpretation of Bob Dylan's "One Too Many Mornings," a relatively unusual Dylan tune to be given the folk-rock treatment, though previous versions had been released by the Association and the Beau Brummels. Both sides of the 45 appear on the CD compilation Garagemental!: The Cuca Records Story, Vol. 2. ~ Richie Unterberger
