New Jersey folk-punk duo The Front Bottoms mastered punk’s DIY ethos through years of extensive touring and recording.
∙ In 2010, they had a viral video hit with the song “Maps,” which was built around a clip produced by a fan who contacted the band on social media.
∙ The group self-released two albums and two EPs before signing with Hoboken indie label Bar/None Records—onetime home of They Might Be Giants and The Dead Milkmen—in 2011.
∙ Released in 2017, Going Grey not only made the Billboard 200, but it also reached the Top 10 on the Alternative Albums and Rock Albums charts.
∙ In 2018, their single “Peace Sign” was a Top 40 hit on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart.
