With their finger on the pulse of contemporary Indian pop, The Doorbeen represent a new generation of artists determined to leave a mark on every aspect of songcraft and production.
• The Doorbeen were created by Onkar Singh and Gautam Sharma (aka Baba) in 2013, and started out covering classics as well as producing, penning, composing and singing their own songs.
• Their official debut release was 2016’s “Aaj Da Ranjha”, a rap-inflected love song powered by a catchy hook and stomping EDM beats.
• Sweeping success came with 2018’s Punjabi hit “Lamberghini”, a romantic cut featuring dreamy vocals by Ragini. The likes of DJ Chetas and DJ Rink later lined up to offer a slew of dance remixes.
• The duo’s creativity has free rein in a string of successful follow-up singles such as “Prada” (featuring Shreya Sharma) and “Baahon Mein”—juggling Indian pop with rap and electro-swing, among other sounds.
