In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 9, I played flute in a treehouse; at 16, on a remote Scottish island with echoing caves; at 34, a solo from a tree design at the Royal Opera House, then Vienna, Brisbane, Hamburg. I cherish these life threads.

Tell us why you chose this song. “New Birth” New Birth is my first fully self-written release, marking a new chapter after years co-writing with Ranagri and performing others’ work. It’s a big step into my own sound, released on the incredible Real World X label.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? 1/ Red Rocks in USA with Peter Gabriel. 2/ World premiere of The Winter's Tale at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden in 2014. 3/ Playing at Cropredy festival with my band Ranagri 2024.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Bucket list never gets shorter; tick one thing off, a new one appears. I live with the highest ambitions - to write for films, perform at The Proms as a soloist, collaborate with amazing musicians. I want my music to touch people, make a difference.
