Josh Scogin, the original singer for Christian metalcore band Norma Jean, left that group shortly after its 2002 debut album, BLESS THE MARTYR & KISS THE CHILD, to follow his artistic/personal vision and form the Chariot. They became labelmates of Norma Jean on Solid State Records, and the first Chariot album, which was also in a Christian metalcore vein, was 2004's EVERYTHING IS ALIVE.... Second album THE FIANCEE featured a guest appearance from Paramore singer Hayley Williams. By the time third album WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS came around, Scogin was the only remaining original member of the band.
